My new knife is on the way :)

I have custom ordered Yoshikane skd steel sujiki 270 mm
in this custom size:


Heel to Tip Length- 260mm 
Blade Height at Heel- 35 mm 
Width of Spine at Handle- 3 mm 
Width of Spine at Middle- 2 mm 
Width of Spine about 1cm from the tip- 1.2 mm 

It is shipped today and i am very exited to get it in my hands :)

    What is the ideal stone for keeping the cuting edge of the blade ( whithe steel ) ?

    For white steel i prefer softer stones or medium like Hakka or Ohira

    That is a beauty, Maxim. BTW my Hakka is working beautifully on all my carbon steels including the Shiro honyaki. The Aizu grows on me day by day, and I just love this stone for mid sharpening honyaki. Thanks again for excellent stones and excellent service.
