Latest wood projects

Made my first base for Jnat, spend hole day of making that one
It is made from Kauri wood, finished it with some thin shellac.
I am quite happy with result.

On top is Shoubudani Karasu very dramatik Karasu one of beautiful stones i have seen very hard too :D 
It is sold already ! 






And my first Rehandle. On Western Shigefusa 210 mm Suji 
With Ironwood Burl and brass mosaic pins

    I love the stonebase. Very nice indeed. The rehandle is also very well executed, although I would personally have rounded the edges of the handle a littlebit more, but that is details. Fit and finish looks impeccable. (Love the Shobu karasu too :o)

    I choose not round edges to much my self, I like it when they are bit square :o)
